چکیده

Geothermal energy is a clean and environmentally friendly source that can be used sustainably; however, attention towards geothermal has been intermittent during the last 40 years as function of crisis oil price. However, reinjection clogging challenge limiting development utilization. In China, widely distributed sandstone reservoirs have reduced production due to technical constraints such excessive pressure blockage. this paper, we took Binzhou field in North China an example conducted displacement experiments under different temperature flow rate conditions by collecting situ fluid core rock obtain changes permeability. By comparing variation geochemical mineral composition fluids cores before after experiments, combined with water–rock interaction simulation, investigated reasons for permeability porosity. The results show high low relatively minimal pressure, 1.0 mL/min at 45 °C shows effect on permeability, while 55 0.5 Flow main factor controlling demonstrated minor effect. shift porosity mainly caused precipitation quartz conversion albite montmorillonite. injection may dissolved additional minerals change reduction greater than °C, indicating blockage, which led reduction, contains multiple causes, chemical physical blockages. From laboratory studies, recommended reinjected water cooled or kept below reservoir moderate conditions.

Study on Stochastic Flow in Low Permeability Sandstone Oil Reservoir

Reservoir porous medium is random, in terms of oil and gas for low permeability reservoirs. Consider the random nature of the reservoir will enable to improve the accuracy of numerical reservoir simulation. Based on extensive research, for the stochastic nature of the reservoir from the two aspects of physical simulation, numerical simulation, the relevant international studies were reviewed. T...

Changes in permeability caused by dynamic stresses in fractured sandstone

[1] Shaking-induced changes in permeability have been invoked to explain a wide range of hydrologic responses to earthquakes. We measure the evolution of permeability in fractured sandstone in response to repeated shaking under undrained conditions. The frequency and amplitude of the imposed shaking are similar to those from earthquakes at distances of a fault length from the ruptured fault. To...

Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Porosity Heterogeneity in Bioturbated Sandstone from the White Rose Reservoir, Atlantic Canada

The determination of porosity heterogeneity within hydrocarbon reservoirs is important because cost-effective, efficient production of hydrocarbons depends on accurate knowledge of reserve estimates, and hydrocarbon distribution. A new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique, based on the conical SPRITE (Single-Point Ramped Imaging with T1 Enhancement) MRI method is capable of revealing the ...

Optimization of Reinjection in Geothermal Reservoirs

Re-injection of produced geothermal water for pressure support is a common practice in geothermal field management. The location selection of the reinjection well and the rate of injection is a challenging subject for geothermal reservoir engineers. The goal of optimization for this type of problem is usually to find one or more combinations of geothermal re-injection well locations that will m...

simulation of reservoir permeability using porosity and acoustic impedance data

permeability is a key parameter in reservoir characterization. in fact, without accurate information about reservoir permeability, there is no good solution for reservoir engineering problems. up to now, permeability values of a reservoir have been calculated through laboratory measurements or well testing methods. these methods are useful but they cannot describe a reservoir reliably and preci...
